It is a bag-shaped organ located in the lower part of the liver, where the bile secreted from the liver is collected. The task of the sac is to store and concentrate bile, and to secrete bile into the duodenum at necessary intervals. Located outside the excretory pathway from the liver to the intestine and connected to the main bile duct by a duct; It is an organ that acts as a warehouse for bile and makes the bile more concentrated (darker).


The most important symptom of gallbladder inflammation; It is a severe, stinging and continuous pain in the upper right part of the abdomen. This pain continues after morphine is administered and its effect wears off. It reaches between the two shoulder blades. It is exacerbated by breathing. Nausea and vomiting are present in the majority of cases. The fever averages around 38°C. On examination, the upper right part of the abdomen, where the gallbladder is located, is painful. Jaundice accompanies in about a quarter of cases. It makes your stomach bloated. Blood, urine tests and direct abdominal film are also guides in the diagnosis. Complications of gallbladder inflammation include; hepatitis, gallbladder gangrene, gallbladder empyema, pancreatitis, and gallbladder perforation. Acute (had) gallbladder inflammations are most common in women over forty, obese, blond or white-skinned and have given birth a lot.

In treatment, the pouch should be removed by surgeons whenever possible. In cases where surgery is not performed, painkillers and antibiotics are administered and the person is fed intravenously for a day or two. Surgery can be performed a few weeks after the noisy picture has passed.
